Love it but gives me a headache from inexperience! Jul 27, 2010 I am glad to have a friend that went to school for photography and is good with this Photoshop Elements and she can tell me over the phone what to do step by step if I can't figure out something that is so easy unless you are not educated on it!As I am working on it by myself I am slowly but surely making really neat and fun pictures and my creativity is increasing as my skills increase!!! It's fun!
Adobe Photoshop 8 Jul 25, 2010 Very disappointed in this product. I had an earlier version that I've used a lot. The problem with this version is the edit screen task bar is almost impossible to read because it is so small. I've read a number of comments on various forums and there seems to be no solution. Having said that -- photo enhancement results are very good.
Elements 8/64bit Jul 25, 2010 Had PSE6 and my old machine died. Bought this, as listed 64 bit compatible. Doesn't load for 64 bit.. had to spend time w/tech support to get to run.
Adobe Photo Shop Elements - A Good Start Jul 19, 2010 Adobe Photo Shop Elements is the first photo editor we have used. It is a good start for beginners. As we further explore its capabilities it may be all we need for our purposes.
We think it is a good product at a reasonable price.
Buggy Jul 18, 2010 I encountered many of the bugs documented in other reviews, but I'm unwilling to waste additional time by repeating them in this review. See other reviews for the bad news regarding quality and stability.
I will pass along a special wag-of-the-finger to the useless print dialog. Not only is the print dialog freshly dumbed-down (ruined), PSE 8 refuses to recognize that I have any printers whatsoever! Every attempt to print results in, "You must have a printer installed to do whatever you are trying to do...". Also, my setup was bitten by disappearing menu bars bug (documented in other reviews) as I have a 1080p monitor.
Finally, I only upgraded to get ACR support for my new Canon T2i and that plan is now buns up. Shame on Adobe for requiring an upgrade just to get the latest RAW support! If your only interest is ACR RAW, use the Canon bundled utils. (or whatever you camera manuf. supplied) and bypass this cynical money grab of a non-upgrade.
