I love my Kindle!!!! I'm a book junkie & have gotten used to buying books, but this is a great invention!!!!!

Great device and great idea...
Little bit weak though for non American purchasers...I am in Canada and have already been refused download of one current US book, and managed to download an interactive puzzle book, and find that Amazon chooses not to support it in Canada...
I think the magazine list would be much more useful if it offered more than about 30 magazines.
And I would like Kindle to have the capacity to include a footnote in an underlining citation...and to be able to create a note within an underlining reference.
Beyond that, I like it...
And these thoughts would considerably improve the experience.

I have been using my Kindle for 4 months now and am extremely satisfied with it. The ability to shop for and download a book directly to the Kindle no matter where I am is fantastic. I have always purchased paperback editions of the books I like so the cost of the books for this device are a bit more but the convenience of a library of books at my fingertips is great, I was running out room for my collection. A bonus is the amount of free books out there and lower prices on old favorites. I have had no problems with the Kindle so far but did have a problem with one book I downloaded. The battery life so far has been good and I keep the wireless function turned off until I want to use it which helps prolong battery life. The Kindle is tougher than reported in some reviews as I dropped mine onto a concrete floor once with no ill effects. It is a great device for its intended purpose, downloading and reading books which is what I purchased it for

I bought this as a gift for my wife. I have absolutely no thought of ever getting to use it because of how much she loves the thing.

I love my new kindle. I love being able to change the size of the font; I love being able to take it & many books with me where ever I go. I live in a rural area and our library is limited as are our bookstores. So, the kindle is an excellent solution.
I have 2 criticisms however. First, I wish that it had back lighting to read easily at night. Secondly, it is inconvenient that it works of AT&T's wireless system. There coverage is terrible. As a matter of fact, when we moved to this area, we had AT&T and had to switch because of the lack of coverage. I doubt that anything can be done about either complaint.
