 Try before you buy. Mar 10, 2010
I have been using TurboTax since 2002 with good results. This year it would not load on my computer (Windows XP SP2). The problem is with the NET 3.5 SP1 installer as mentioned previously. I spent about four hours going thru the instructions on the TurboTax web site with no success. I did put myself on their list just in case they have a fix. DON'T Buy unless you can try it out!

I've used TurboTax for years; the last two the home & business. I really do like the product. The only problems I found so far are:
1) There is no SSA-1099 form. For those that use forms, or both forms and Turbo's Question & answer, it is very easy to have Social Security payments entered twice.
2) When downloading information from investment companies it is very possible to accidently include retirement account sales in schedule D.
There may be other problems, but these are what I found so far

This software does exactly what it is supposed to do, and in an expert manner. It is designed to handle virtually any tax problem or situation.

We have used Turbo Tax for the past 4 years, however we are very disappointed with 2009 Home & Business. It wouldn't let me go back to make changes, it came all broken up in the box and then even though nothing is wrong with my internet, it wouldn't connect for updates and now I am waiting an additional 2 weeks for an updated forms disk from Turbo Tax.. Just not that impressed this year!

The Turbotax software program was exactly what i needed and the shipping time was outstanding.
